The key part of a Butler position is to ensure the smooth running of the Household, but also being hands on and very practical. This would include meeting and greeting guests and being the first point of contact for the guests and the client.

Salaries

Salary depends on the individual candidate and their experience and also the specifications of the position.

General rates are:

Under Butler         £ 25,000 Gross/year
Head Butler          £ 30-40,000 Gross/year
Top Butler           £ 45-60,000 Gross/year
